My Zoo Project Map & Background

Our sketching for Communication course prof assigned us to create a map of a zoo. This is what I came up with:

Then we had to paint a background in a group of 5 using watercolor ONLY, and then each member had to draw an art line of a designated animal region creature that will be placed on top of the background in Photoshop. So here is our background:

Working on my T-Rex Assignment.

So these are just some ideas for the T-Rex assignment that I am going to use for additional advertisements, the actual ROM product details sheet and the story of the tooth I am making.

Some examples of artists I follow:

Feric, aka Eric Feng from Taiwan
U.S. Amanda Sage with her spiritual paintings
Another Poster for Peace Organization
Flurniture
The Tortured Bunny
Boring 3D
The 3D Photography of Erik Johansson

These are two creations I found equally entertaining and impressive:

The OTHER version of Little Red Riding Hood
Back to the Good Ole' days

Trace that Idea and Capture Your Own Ideas

My DMA101 Prof tested each student from my class on tracing objects in Illustrator CS4 using the pen, object, pathfinder and etc. We had to first draw a heart just like the one he drew and projected- no tracing reference provided.

Then we had to trace a lion with tracing reference

and learned how to trace a tire using the rotating tool.

Watercolor Fun in Sketching Class!

So, basically, the assignment was to paint (using only water color paint and brushes- no pencil) 4 different toys that were placed in the middle of each group's table. Each one of us had about 10 minutes to do each toy. These are my creations:

I must say it was quite an interesting and fun experience :)

What is better, being lost and happy in a dream or unhappy in reality?
